I visited Darjeeling several times. In fact as it is only one night journey from my place of residence, so whenever I can mange 3-4 days of holidays I visit Darjeeling. Two things about Darjeeling attract me more.
First is a decent view of Kanchenjunga, and the second one is Toy Train. Whenever I visit Darjeeling I chose a hotel from where the view of Kanchenjunga is clear. Last time I visited, I stayed in hotel Sinclair. The kanchan-view rooms are costly( Rs 8000 per day), but once you stay in this hotel and specially in view rooms you will not go anywhere else. Traveling through Toy Train is a life time experience. It can not be expressed in words. There is a fantastic rope way service also, the views of tea gardens from the rope way is excellent. You can book a car and visit other places nearby. If you love traveling I'll suggest you visit Darjeeling at least once.
