"Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rythym of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy." - Jaques D'ambroise.
I agree with these words completely. And I am sure people, like me, with a soft-corner for dancing will also agree to it. People with a soft-corner for dancing will also agree with me when I say that, dancing is fun not only when we perform, but also when we see someone else perform.
Thus for the people who enjoy seeing others dance, Zee TV presents India's biggest dance show called Dance India Dance(DID) every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. DID is one of the "most talked about" dance shows, and is now in the midst of its 4th season. The show has brought up many dance forms like slow-motion, contemporary, hip-hop, locking and popping and many more, to the Indian limelight. It is back now, and back with a bang!
About the show-
The concept of the show is very simple. There are auditions held in various cities of the entire country, in which contestants participate, and the best ones are picked. After that there is a Mega-audition held in Mumbai out of the many contestants top 18 are selected. These 18 contestants are divided into three groups which are lead by the three judges of the show. Weak by weak contestants perform solos, duos and trios and at end of the show are eliminated on the basis of audience's votes. At the Grand Finale one of the participant is declared as the "India's biggest dancing star" is given a trophy and a price money.
Judges and Grand master-
The previous three seasons had Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Remo D’souza as the judges. The competition had reached new heights with the presence of these three. But with the fourth season the judges or masters have changed. There are three new faces in the form of judges this time on the show, they are Shruti Merchant, Feroz Khan and Mudassar Khan.
Shruti Merchant: She is the younger sister and assistant of Vaibhavi Merchant. She has assisted her sister to choreograph films like'Rab ne banadi jodi', 'Dhoom' series, 'Aaja nachle' and more. She has her team called "Shruti Ke Shandaar" in DID 4. With all her dance and moving her hands a lot while commenting she is doing a good job in the show.
Feroz Khan: Master Feroz started his career as an assistant to choreographer Farha Khan. He is credited for his hits like'Maa Da Laadla' from'Dostana' and'Move your body' from'Johnny Gaddaar'. His team on DID 4 is called "Feroz Ki Faug". He is a man with few words and is also the most experienced master on the panel.
Mudassar Khan: He is the man behind the iconic moves that we found Salman Khan groove to in movies like'Dabang', 'Dabang 2', 'Ready' and'Bodyguard'. He is the youngest of the three masters of DID 4. His gang of participants in DID 4 is called "Mudassar Ki Mandli". Master Mudassar is the cutest and I enjoy a lot seeing him.
All the three masters are veterans where dance is concerned. The show is reaching new heights with their presence. Grand Master-
Mithun Da is the grand master and life of the show. His presence in the show adds a charm to its fame. His encouraging words and Grand Salutes help the participants to perform with double the enthusiasm and energy that they have. His positivity is felt throughout the set of DID 4.
Hosts-
Jay and Ishita: They are the hosts of DID 4. They do an exceptionally great job by hosting, entertaining and teasing the masters, grand master or the contestants. Its fun to watch them also.
Contestants-
They are the most important part of this show. DID 4 has one of the best lot of contestants. They are just incredible. They always try to make their performance the best. The put all their efforts and energy and always go beyond their contemporaries to put up a super good performance on stage. All the participants are extremely good and its tuff to choose a favourite amongst them. Few good performances of this season-
1) Biki Das and Jeet Das'( a participant of DID lil masters) tribute to Govinda.
2) Shyam and a lil master's performance on'Lungi Dance.
3) Shyam's first ever performance in techno style.
4) Biki Das and Ashitosh's circus performance.
5) Sumedh's tribute to Sachin Tendulkar.

Overall-
I agree to it when the hosts call this show'India's biggest dance show'. I agree to it when the hosts call every participant of DID a'dancing star'. The show and the participants truly deserve to be called in this way. It is THE BEST DANCE SHOW. I really enjoy viewing this show and I am sure everyone who watches it enjoys it. Thumps up to this show.
