Dear Consumers
My name is Mohammed Afzal and I am a Consumer / Human Right Activist from Yari Road, Andheri [w], Mumbai. I subscribe to all News papers as I am very fond of News, whether it is print or Electronic media.
For quite some time TOI was ruling the Print media with its monopolystic policies. It is not that TOI is bad it is equally good, but the fact remained that consumers had very few choice. DNA has captured the present market share by being the 1st to come out with an offer which very few consumers could resist and which was Rs. 199/- offer for full 1 year subscribtion. DNA is a paper which in true sence gives News. There is no vulgarity. it give news about everything that one would like to read. It doesn't contain anything obscene and I applause them for that. DNA is doing a great job and let me not forget to give the credit to all the correspondants and other people working behind the scene who are equally responsible in the success of this great News paper.
Although I get Hindustan Times, Midday and Mumbai Mirror also, but what I feel is that Mumbai Mirror & Midday is mostly filmy, which I feel is vey sickening. Mumbai Mirror is quite obscene, especially article Sexpert by Dr. Mahinder Watsa, Midday is totally filmy and it has lost its charm and standard, what it used to have. I dont have the same respect for midday that I used to have once, but since I am a Consumer Activist I have to know which paper carried which article. I do not like a new paper being totally filmy. it is ok they get maximum adverticement and the paper needs to generate fund, but it is all in bad taste and not at the cost of its standard that it once had.
Hindustan Times is another good newpaper, which caters to the need of the masses and applause to them as well. They are informative and do not carry obscene articles or photos.
I would request the editor of DNA to keep doing this great work and wish them all the best for a better future.
