I purchased a top loading washing machine(ZPLU - SAMSUNG WM TL 6.5KG WA65T4262FS/TLSL 5S) from the croma store, South extension on 05.05.2022 vide Invoice number SLA048001499970 . The machine was delivered to me on 07.05.2022 and installed on 08.05.2022. When the machine was unboxed, I noticed that there was
minimal packaging with no plastic cover on the machine
there was dust on the backside of the machine as if it had been used before.
Both the detergent box and lint box are loose as if they have been used before. Lint box has prominent ink marks which shows that it is a refurbished machine.(pic attached)
I found that odd and asked the engineer why there is no plastic covering on the machine. He answered that these days it comes like this. This sounded strange to me as last year I had bought a Samsung refrigerator, from the same croma store, which was nicely packed.
While installation I was told that this is a March 2022 model. But on the label on the machine it is showing as 2021 model(pic attached). When I talk about the model croma staff says they that only performance matters.
I have requested them to replace the used machine with a brand new machine. The croma staff members call me up and tell me verbally that they cannot replace the machine but they are not willing to give this to me in writing. They are not willing to accept and correct their mistake. They are just wiling the time.
I have escalated the matter to the nodal officer. But there also they are not willing to give me anything in writing. They close the complaint at their end without resolving the matter.
I am a senior citizen and cannot run around. I bought this machine from my monthly pension. I bought this machine from the croma store as I expected a fair deal from them. I did not think that they will defraud me in this manner.
