My first experience with a chroma product was terrible. I ordered an AC about 20 days ago, and after it was delivered, the technician said the installation in the current condition was not possible because of the AC curtain POP, and they advised that I needed to remove it for them to install the AC. This was shocking to me, as my house is fairly new, and I've spent a lot on it, making it next to impossible for me to break anything. Even though there are various ways to install the AC in the current situation, I discovered that the technicians were not very well versed and could not do anything beyond a typical installation. I had two or three technicians come in and tell me the same thing, that it could not be installed. Eventually, I had to explain to them how I wanted it done, but they seemed extremely unconfident and ended up installing the AC in the living room instead of the bedroom, where I wanted it.


So, the AC is not very useful to me because I bought it for the bedroom, but that did not happen. After all this was done, I noticed that the AC display panel was different from the actual product I ordered. I asked the technicians if this was the case with all the ACs, and they sent me a few pictures, but I did not see the exact same thing in their product. I believe there is something different in my product because logically, it is not possible for the same model to look different with different customers. Another technician came to my place to identify this, and I was told it is a part of the design and is the same everywhere. I have yet to see the pictures or be invited to anyone's house to see the product for myself. It's been almost 20-25 days now, and I have not heard from anybody. They keep telling me they're sending me pictures or arranging a meeting, but nothing like that is happening.


Another issue I have noticed is that when you turn the AC on, the room becomes chilled, but the moment you turn it off, the room immediately goes back to the pre-temperature of the AC. Ideally, when a room is chilled with an AC, the chilliness should remain for a while, but in this case, I don't see that happening, not even for a few minutes after the AC is turned off. So, I recommend that if you're looking for an AC whose chilliness stays longer after shut down then you should go with another AC brand. A little difference in cost could get you a branded product and great service, which will be worth it in the long run.


Overall, I don't think this is a great product, considering it is a Tata product, and I was expecting exceptional service, which I have not received. I'm still awaiting a response from the team, and honestly, I'm not quite satisfied, so make your decision accordingly. Thank you.
