BEST OF THE BEST AGAINST BEST OF THE REST.

Yes. The wait is over. Can be Portrayed as Ultimate feast of international cricket because we will be fortunate to see MOST PROLIFIC PLAYERS (COMBINATION OF TALENT WITH PERFORMARNCES) will battle it out against Best team in the world representing their nation proudly.

Itwell could be MIGHT-BE BIGGEST SHOWDOWN FOR CRICKET FRATERNITY

This is my preview for series.

The verdict will be after the conclusion :-).

~

AUSTRALIA:

The best team in the world for a decade in both forms of the game.

Success lies in their doing basics very well.

They are attacking, aggressive by the nature, but still they don't forget basics and that's why they have produced results of that kind.

Their batting line-up has some really big names there. The heart of the line up is RICKY PONTING and ADAM GILCHRIST.

Team has 3 top order consistent batsmen always have produced the results. They have PONTING, GILCHRIST, (had HAYDEN) doing for last4-5 years on regular basis.

ANDREW SYMONDS is another one of the best in the world in ONE-DAYERS.

Bowing look their weak link with gillespie, warne, kasprowicz missing.

~

Still their batting is very formidable and much talked bench strength of Aussies will have ACID TASTE straight away in their debut series.

~

Team has taken bit of a dent in ASHES, but just like one win don't make BANGLADESH good team in few hours, vice-versa can be said here about Aussies.

They have always ruled in their own territory.

Motivating factors: Nation, Home crowd, Making up for ASHES defeat.

Most importantly to have one final say that WE ARE THE BEST

Thing to watch: How they will bounce back, much talked bench strength

~

REST of the world:

~

As Nasser Hussein said, sachin''s tendulkar absence is clearly visible.

But still SEHWAG, KALLIS, LARA, FLINTOFF, POLLOCK, MURALI are good enough to make battle nail-biting.

Most important thing will be how young smith as leader would-be able to unite these best to produce best out of them.

Thing to watch:Because that's not easiest of the job of him at his age and experience (For such a big event).

Even pollock cant be termed as Good Captain..

(No doubt ,he is world class performer)

~

Few things to be looked at:

I think unfortunately recent defeat for Australia meant this series interest taken bit a dent.

And ENGLAND just did not win but dominated them so just before this event would take place, it was bit paradoxical for ICC and viewers.

I remember in jan-feb 2005, expert were clueless, who is capable to take on these people?

Probably divide few players between two teams so that we can have fair contest. And now ENGLAND pulled it out. Great for cricket fraternity, not so for ICC SUPER SERIES.

~

Captain for ICC eleven: I don't agree with SMITH/POLLOCK as captain. I dont think they have been imaginative enough in their tenures.

And when you have so many quality players to perform in your arsenal, captain should have been chosen on pure quality of leadership.

My choice would have been WAUGHN/FLEMING who have produced results against AUSTRALIA.

When wounded tiger (ASHES DEFEAT) is raring to go with support behind it (crowd),you want skillful man to take on him. Most preferably WAUGHN.

He played big part in ASHES 2005.His mates only have spoken this.

His batting when he toured last time in Australia too was outstanding,

And Australia were playing at their peak at that time.

~

Team selection of ICC:

~

I think they lack Third good fast bowler.

Pollock is there with reliable FLINTOFF but cant be said the same with AKHTAR ,he does it once in a while. (Good performance), most of time he is just potential threat...

Just like PETERSON choice, they could have gone for HARMISON or BOND.

Bond have always have yielded best against the best.

~

Last word:

All in all it will be battle between DREAM TEAM of instance against BEST TEAM of the decade. (For one-dayers, may be all time best).

Still few players will miss out for different reasons : SACHIN, GILLSEPIE for the instance

Take A BACK SEAT AND ENJOY.

Lets IT COME OUT LIKE IT HAS BEEN SKETCHED, BEST BATTLE.

The final word: Believe in the best

THE BIG QUESTION: who will win?

~BETTER THAN THE BEST~.

All the best.(For both teams)
