You will definitely go crazy with these guys. We booked for a trip to the Valley of Flowers by Helicopter. The offer was Heli ride from GovindGhat to Ghangria, Guided trek to Valley of Flowers, Breakfast at Ghangria & Packed lunch for the trek. What really happened is this: After paying Rs. 19000/- a week in advance, we had to make a few dozen phone calls talk to different women agents each time and finally got a number of a local tout. On the day of the journey, the tout comes with us to the Deccan Helitaxi office and pays 2850 Per person X 2 for a one way ticket an says now you are on your own. Please book your return ticket immediately on arrival! Then I ask what about the money we already paid. HE then gives us 5700 for 2 tickets and says meet a person at a hotel Holiday at Ghangria for the rest. Now as we arrive, we are told the return tickets for the same day are all booked and no more tickets available. So we start trekking towards the so call Hotel Holiday which is 2 kms away. After a 30-40 minutes wait, a so call guide who had never climbed(we found this out later) to the VOF accompanied us - no break fast! the guide pays 300 Rs as entry fees to the valley and treks along. After the arduous climb, one is usually famished and started to dig into the packets of food given only to find rotten rice which definitely was not edible. So without a Heli we were stuck at Ghanria for the night as the weather did not permit a horse ride to Govindghat. The next day we made it on horse back.on reaching a place from where we had mobile signals, started calling the CRAZY PEAKS folks only to be told they will look into it. Now for 19000/- all we got is 11400+ 300 and whatever charges for the guide assuming its about 1000/- it all totals upto 12700/- I am waiting for the refund of 6300/- from thes frauds who have no clue how the Helicopter service works, neither do they have any control on this whole circus. So lesson for you all, use these guys only if you want to go Crazy not tourists!
