I have been extensively using the BANG by Coloud for the past month(thanks to the frequent power cuts in my area) and I am extremely happy with this product. I got this little portable speaker free when I purchased the Lumia 535. This tiny speaker comes in green, black and orange. I opted for the black with the green LED on top one which is the best looking in my opinion.
Specifications
The triangular shaped design looks very futuristic and well designed. It is very light and weighs only around a 100 grams.The speaker comes with a frequency response of 200 – 15, 000 Hz, maximum output of 94dB at 0.5m, and a battery life of 8 hours. The battery inside is a lithium ion of 680 mAh capacity, and has a two hour recharging time. The small green LED on the top corner shows the power status and turns red when battery is low and during charging.
Build Quality
Simply amazing build quality.There are no gaps or sharp edges and the device looks well put together. It comes with a 3.5mm cable that is cleverly wrapped around its triangular body and 3.5mm jack, to which you can connect other speakers to form a daisy chain, and it also has a micro USB port for charging. No usb cable is provided. The power switch is located at the bottom, in the middle of the rubber base.The speaker feels great in your hand with nice plastic that isn't too rough or that rubs or sticks to your hand, when holding it. Practically impossible to get finger prints on it.Top marks to the build quality here.
Sound quality and loudness
Audio quality of this thing Is simply unbelievable for the price.Music and voices are crisp, and the bass very strong. It is also quite loud. If the sound isn't enough for you, you can also hook up another Bang speaker for stereo effect. This daisy chain system is pretty cool and you can connect as many speakers as you want. One slight shortcoming I felt is that the cables are only about 6 inches long and you cant actually place the speakers far apart to get that stereophonic effect.
FINAL VERDICT
They are the best speakers available in this price range, period. The battery life is great and mine usually last anywhere from 7 to 7.5 hours of playback at max volume.
For the price of only Rs 750(amazon, couldn't find it on flip-kart), you get a fantastic speaker with fantastic audio quality and resonant bass. I don't give out 5 star ratings too often but this firecracker of a product really deserves it. 5 stars from me
