Colgate is one of the oldest brands Indians have been using for years now and one will find this toothpaste in every second household of India. But has anyone ever analysed or questioned whether this toothpaste is effective for removing plague and preventing cavities. My family has been using this toothpaste since I was a child and to review a product like toothpaste, it takes a long time usage experience as its results cannot be seen instantly. Teeth damage is seen over a long period of time and not in a day or two. The role of a toothpaste is to either prolong this period further or atleast not allow plague( yellow coloured layer) to connect on the teeth. And I am actually disappointed by this toothpaste as it was never successful in removing the plague and hence spoil the condition of teeth over time. I am disappointed with Colgate Anticavity toothpaste because of following reasons: 1- It does not remove or prevent plague from growing between the teeth even after brushing twice a day for years.2- It thus produces cavities in the teeth and spoils oral health.3- My mother and I had both got a RCT( Root Canal Treatment) each in one of our tooth.4- The company spends large amount of money in its Advertisements every year but very less on research and development of a quality toothpaste.5- The claims made in its Advertisements are very far from reality as they show dentists approving the quality of the toothpaste to be the best, but has anyone ever thought that those dentists are real one's or mere actors? 6- Heavy advertisements over years on different media had inculcated the name of the brand in people's minds.7- Hence, people when going for buying a toothpaste use Colgate as a synonym for a Toothpaste and they ask the shopkeeper, Whether he can get a Colgate.I would suggest people to be aware of these facts and then buy these kind of products on the basis of their experiences. Not to blind trust those attractive Advertisements.
