Story:

As I already covered 150 odd pages of Bear Grylls's'Facing the Frozen Ocean', now I finally got time to write a review of this book, which I completed on 29th Nov 15 at a speed of 9 pgs per day(Total Pages= 406), well yeah my speed was too slow, though I was reading a Hindi novel after quite a time. In Hindi, I only opted for Surendra Mohan Pathak(Devki Nandan Khatri belongs to fantasy adventure which the genre I like most), since I didnt liked other authors esp since their books came like a series, if you dont know then it means you're reading from middle, I tried 2 authors.

This novel'Colaba Conspiracy' belongs to the Jeet Singh series and is one of the latest novel from SMP(7th of the series as per Wikipedia) and my copy is published in 2014 by Harper Collins India, it costs me Rs.74 in an offer. The story is again a thriller-detective story, the plotline is as follows-: Jeet Singh is back in his old house, and he got the news of death of a businessman Pursumal Changulani, who was also husband of his ex-love Sushmita, and also a well-wisher of him. But just after his death Pursumal's sons & daughter came back to claim the property and to prove the Sushmita is not his wife but a live-in partner and who killed him for his property. So now Jeet Singh has to help her. Plus there is one more plot of a heist which make Jeet Singh more vulnerable to get killed.

So again this is a murder mystery revolving around a murder. And I must say that this murder mystery is a very simple guess power, so not much of efforts has been put by SMP. Mystery could be better. Novel is a bit thick for such a small story and which makes this novel as one of the weak from SMP. And there are 2 plots which are going in the book, but somehow it feels that the subplot-to-be becomes the main plot & murder mystery becomes the sub-plot, and it gave a feeling of no-story getting supported by a mystery just to help the story, since that sub-plot of heist was just going on-and-on and seems to me like Whats going on?, and then in-between some elements pf mystery to make reader happy.

All-in-all I will not say this novel of SMP is a good effort, and you can skip this novel, since there are many other of him which are good novels. This one not the best from his department. I rate 2.5/5.
