As I read in one of the reviews below, these people have zero respect for customer's money and time.I tried to book a flight ticket from Bangalore to Kochi last week through their so-called app and paid money through Google Pay. I received a mail from Razorpay(payment gateway for the cleartrip app) that my payment was successful with a payment ID as well. On the other end, I never received a ticket confirmation or any other things related to my booking from cleartrip neither on my phone or my mail ID. When I happen to call Cleartrip's customer care for the same, they said they didn't receive the payment and they said a refund request was initiated from their end which will be reflected in my bank account in 3-4 days. It was quite irritating since I spent the whole money which was left in my bank account for this booking and had to borrow from someone else make another booking in another app.
Still, I said okay to them and waited for the next 4 days and nothing happened. So I called them on the 5th day, which was a Saturday, and asked for my refund status, they said I will have to wait till Monday since the bank operations will be affected on Saturdays.(One more thing which I forgot to mention, while I was trying to contact the customer care, they asked for my trip ID, which they didn't send to my mail or SMS. So I had to visit their twitter page and tweet to them about this issue. Luckily I got my trip ID as a DM from their twitter page and I could use it to call their customer care.(Imagine the pain I was going through to get this simple thing done!). So yeah on the 6th day, I called their customer care again for the refund.
And a lady named Pooja picked up the phone, I could say she was quite irritated from the moment I started to speak. So I asked her about my refund status, and what she replied was: Cleartrip never received my payment so it's not their responsibility to refund or assist me in getting back the money. Instead, I should call Razorpay customer care or my bank for that, and she was literally shouting at me while saying this. Seriously, is this way you handle things or speak with a customer? For the first 5 days, I was being told that my refund request was initiated by Cleartrip and on the 6th day I should contact Razorpay customer care for the same? I wonder what kind of service you are doing. Just go to your Twitter page and see the number of complaints you receive.
Initially, I couldn't connect with RazorPay customer care as well. I was fortunate enough to speak with someone working in Razorpay through one of my colleagues and got my money back today through her.
If you can't take up the responsibility of your own service or provide some fake information to your customer, then you are not worthy enough to serve people. And it's not the responsibility of your customer to check with your third-party applications to get their money back.
