My family have recently visited Solapur and we have firmed up the reservations with Citypark - Solapur.
We were indeed delighted with the following aspects:
Reservations are in order
Consistency in the responses and no surprises across the touch points from reservations, check-in, checkout, etc
Reception staff are well prepared and proactive: they are indeed waiting for our check-in and could even recognize
Concierge is also proactive to pick up the baggage and arrange it in the rooms
Rooms: are well maintained; relatively new; 24hrs hot water supply
But the sore point of the experience is the AC: vents can be maintained so that there is better and fresh air circulation
Restaurant is separately managed: probably they could synch up with the regular hotel staff in their responsiveness
Most delightful moment is the staff attitude to accommodate and provide exceptional service. Ex: we were virtually stranded due to the late running of the train to Bangalore. But the staff immediately ensured that we could get a room though we have checked out provided the room for half day with nominal charges
Similarly, the cab rates are also maintained on fixed rate basis ( right from the discussions we had telephonically and after reaching there). Not only that they had proactively acted on our simple feedback that the driver has over charged a small amount of Rs.100.
Would certainly suggest this hotel for any business traveler or anyone who goes on pilgrimage
