Jaipur the pink city has a great history and the city of the Rajput princes has many a folklore associated with it.The enumerable number of palaces and havelis makes this city a must visit for every Indian and everyone who comes to India.
One of the most visit places in the city is the grand city palace which used to be the seat of the King of Jaipur, much of the palace still remains a royal residence. The remaining is open for tourists who throng this place almost throughout the year.
The palace was constructed during the time of Raja Sawai Man Singh II, with the architectural inputs of a Biritsh Architect, the King they say was himself an architecture enthusiast.
