Firstly, if you are interested to watch a film in this hall please watch it at the sharpest morning you can get, which is usually around 9'o clock. That is when the ticket prices remain, "Oh! we can take our family with us."While on the other timings if you are not living a lavish lifestyle and money matters to you.You will say, "Nah, lets try another hall." When you enter this amphitheater you will find yourself entering a very large corporate office.
One security guard outside the front entrance will check you with a metal detector and check your ticket. When you think lets grab our respective 2D or 3D halls inside and relax. To your bewilderment you will be checked second time by a guard standing inside the entrance.Secondly, If you have brought any kinds of delicious goodies with you outside the theaters premises.You are most welcome to make it a fantasy.You will be forced and compelled to throw it away like a junk of garbage.
As the rule-book states, "If a customer brings any kind of food from outside it will be seized immediately." I mentioned that it will be thrown away like a garbage, I meant if you bring any kinds of hot food it will be taken away by the guardians of the temple. Well, that is what they act like.If you have good intentions to watch a film and not spoil any of the interiors why will you waste your food on the seats? If you do it accidentally the cleaners inside are well equipped to clean the mess. Oh! I get it you can't bring your food but the food served from inside with extra large gravy in plates can make your movie experience a "living dream" altogether WOW!. That doesn't spoil the precious metals does it?It does, but the cleaners still come to shine it up for the next show. Now, let me begin my analysis in a bullet-point scenario.
2-D MOVIES: Looks fine with the ambiance and sound quality. A very new form of verbal cum visual empire which involves the use of subtitles. Very rarely used in cinema halls but the thing that annoys you.It stays there just for a "peek-a-boo." Nothing bizarre to charge high ticket prices. To your astonishment you will not be satisfied. Sometimes due to projector failures the viewing stops itself.
3-D MOVIES: Before I start to state something on this.Let me come to the most important tool for a 3-dimensional film. The 3-D glasses, a very efficient tool especially when I saw its contrast at INOX Swabhumi. I am sure people who have watched there after watching here. Know exactly what I am getting into. The hall as well as the glass size looks like it is a 3rd world of the universe carrying much larger seat capacity and excessively thick and dark frames respectively. The viewer's pupils gets dilated and his/her sight is blurred by the surrounding darkness empowering your experience. While you open your specs and see like "Its not Mirkwood after all. "Putting it on you seem to suffer from aphasia.
FOOD STALLS: Well what can I say about this. Like I mentioned earlier you have to taste their so called, "Healthy and nutritious meals".Charging a glass of coke for Rs.120. You tend to wonder has the coke's taste improved or is it the fancy straw they are offering. The other tit-bits also is charged more or less the same around Rs.70, 80 and sometimes even crossing over 150. Off-course its not a five star plaza. Still you have to taste their food or remain famished. I know it happens in every cinema halls. Still they try to improve something the price, the taste or the experience.
PRICE FLUCTUATIONS: Let me come to the 3D glass price. It fluctuates from 50-100 to 20 refundable and non-refundable respectively. While in other halls a certain price, sometimes even nothing is charged for the glasses provided you do not pilfer or damage them. When it comes to the movie tickets. Well, the prices booms up from 90 to 200 in just a shows difference. While on other halls a specific price range is fixed for weekdays and weekends. It also includes the food charges but since I mentioned it earlier.I think its no need.
All these factors kept in mind, Cinemax Mani Square is an absolute no-no from my side. Keep your wallets intact. There are thieves wondering in this place.
