I have a very bad experience on buying Health insurance from CignaTTK. They have very luring products for which they attract buyers. I too got attracted from various policy comparison sITES_Company. One day I went to their site and a customer care person reached out to me from Chatbot, I had a discussion with him, his name was Kunj. He was very good in explaining things and I thought that CignaTTK would be the best company to buy Health Insurance. Also, I got convinced from TTK brand which was attached to Cigna, I think in almost every home TTK's presence can be found from its wide range of products. Prestige is one of its Big Brand! of Pressure Cooker, Big Brand! also attracted me more.
After doing my research I went back to Kunj's Number, he wasn't at the office by that time so the call was picked by some other agent. His name was Vaibhav Jagnam. He again explained me the same details as explained to me by Kunj and finally, I got convinced with him and made the aishwaryasingh23ment. 5038 Rs. Cigna Health protects plan of 2.5 lac. Then he told me that you will get a call from the doctor and you have to explain about the pre-existing disease that you have mentioned in form if required you have to provide the checkup docs of disease. I said OK, and on 2 days I got a call from Doctor, I explained the details to him, he asked me to send the checkup details of the preexisting disease. Then I send it to customer care email id in which it was asked to do so.
After another 2 days, I followed up with them when are you going to give me the Policy, please let me know. Then they said that you haven't provided us the required docs for Pre-existing disease. I told them that it is already sent 2 days ago, please your emails properly. then I again forwarded it to them. Then I got a call from Jyoti Punja and she asked me to mail the docs to Vaibhav's email address again vaibhav.jangam@cignattkonline.in . Then I did so and She said that we will let you know asap about the displacement of Policy.
Then after few minutes of the call, I got mail:
"Dear Mr. Shailesh Kumar Sharma,
Thank you for choosing Cigna TTK ProHealth-Protect Health Insurance Plan for your insurance needs.
We have carefully reviewed the declarations provided by you in the proposal form along with other supporting documents including medical reports(if any).
We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide you with the insurance cover applied in view of Reject in view of early rheumatoid arthritis on treatment for MRS "my wife's name".
This decision is purely on the basis of an underwriting risk assessment done by the company and is not a recommendation on your health status.
The amount collected from you(subject to clearance) shall be Cred824ited to the account from which aishwaryasingh23ment was received within 7 working days if the aishwaryasingh23ment is received through online mode."
I was not okay with the policy cancellation as I have already mentioned about the Pre-existing disease hence I was surprised with the decision. I tried to reach Vaibhav, he stopped receiving my calls and reply to my mail. I called customer care to get the details of cancellation of policy and guess what happens they don't have any idea about my policy number hence I got angry to them which was quite obvious. I asked them to refund my money back asap. He said that within 10 days you will get your refund if the policy is cancele_45d. I argued in many ways but they keep on saying that you will get money only after 10 days. I kept n calling 3-4 times more but their response was same in all case.
I want to let you know that my policy was cancele_45d on 24th Jan and 14 working days are already passed but I am still waiting for my refund.
