I read some of the reviews and thought I would attack this area too. I have heard a lot of Norton this and Mcafee that and to tell you the truth guys. These anti virus are not too good. Think about it .These Anti Virus are very popular, What hackers would do is study how these anti virus work and also how the software(anti virus of course) is put together. Most of them then, make viruses that infect the Anti Virus program itself and then everything goes bonkers and thers goes your comp's security down the drain. To top that these Anti virus programs take a lot of resources and they boggle down your computer. Also try uninstalling them, they would keep your operating system giving you errors until you reinstall the OS. HA HA HA. Ever experienced that? Yes I know, I know.if you have not then just wait. Check this in Windows Xp( which is of course is the most used OS, check how much resource this Program utilises) now uninstall Norton and then see how the system's booting and shutting down speed increases dramatically.LOL.! Now do you understand what I mean?.I have uninstalled Norton due to this same reason and have found a very good. And I mean very GOOOOODDD anti virus software which is'the eTrust EZ anti virus software'.this software has a one year free subscibtion'if you are a using any microsoft OS' of course.Try it.its free for now.also the firewall version has a 60 day trial version free.Take care and chow.Happy computing///////?.that was then and after one year I started searching on the net and found another great anti virus and its cool."avast" this anti virus is free for life and is so KOOOOLLLLL.computers are cheap these days and so many people would want to buy one.however make a wise decision when choosing a anti virus.this will help.
