The Whole Nine Yards !. Review on Choosing a Specialization / Stream

I had decided to write a review on this topic from the time I saw it listed. But the format took me long to decide and the implementation of that took me even longer as its not easy to write poems. But I hope that I have succeeded.

I had just passed my Board examinations,

So my Dad told me to give him the specifications.

'You will be a Doctor', he said,

'And the time will be great ahead'

I was shell shocked, to say the least,

didnt know the results would turn out a beast.

my dreams were gone,

me sitting alone, feeling a moron.

It took me a week to get over it,

as no longer did anyone notice my fits.

And so I made the class,

which was filled with the top brass.

I was the odd man out,

'cause among the pros I was the only scout.

Everyone else was elated,

now that they had been segregated.

'You are good man. Why are you so depressed?',

asked my only friend.

Then I told him what he didnt knew,

it was the impossible I was made to chew.

But time rolled on,

and my frustration was also gone.

I guess I had accepted my fate,

moreover, it was too late.

And here now that I am an Engineer,

sitting in the office with my peers,

I can only tell you one thing,

move with your hearts' swing.

Do not let anyone else decide,

and play with your life.

We live only once,

and thats not happenstance.

So when its time to make a stand,

think before you raise your hand.

For in this time of Bulls and Bears',

poor Sheep is eaten everywhere.

I hope that this has helped,

if not tell me that I have have failed.

I will try once more then,

as I have done time and again.

Its time to bid adieu,

and spell my last word to you.

Think and act,

then you wont have to retract.
