It's not for every Indian Home

Well, I have made my purchase 4 years back without any guidance except colour brochures with limited details sometimes even missing the essential details.

Microwave cooking is a health investment not an additional cookware in a kitchen. It almost changes the cooking style. Again the housewife has to learn what type of vessels to use, the timings for each items to cook, recognising the colour especially the vegetable dont loose their colour. You cannot use metal vessels using until now. Only glass or plastic particularly all those cook and serve things you see on glassy shopping windows.

Suddenly your kitchen transforms to new looks. No flames, so fumes simple buzzing sound and alarm given by the timer. But you should be ready for additional investments on glassware which is not having enough range. You have to go for a few manufacturers ranges. Plastic ones are OK but you have to check whether they are microwave proof.

Microwave by its very nature preserves the colour and nutrition of the items you are cooking. It is not useful for deep fries, french fries etc. It is meant for oil free cooking which is rare in Indian house hold.

But it is handy tool for a professional Indian housewife. Using the fridge and micro in combination you can get on for a fortnight without even cooking again. Really I do manage a fortnight when my wife is not at home when she attends her beauticians seminars.
