Hi Buddies, I was too interested in buying a New Honda City Gxi, may be the 7 lakh were bitting me day n nite to get out of my pocket, Earlier I owned a ford ikon 1.3 which is the best car I ever had. But the comments recd from honda owners are so negative that I feel like buying again a ford ikon as that is the safets bet. I hope to get some answers so that I can again get back my confidence of buying a honda city.
Pls dont discontinue half the way and read all the way the feed back of different owners collected in one place for ur knowledge and comments on it.

Great reviews all round
The car simply does not live upto those.
Problems
Extremely Poor suspension
Inferior rear speakers
Poor build quality, car is just a month old and the cabin already has rattles
The EPS and AC are unpredictable
In shot dont buy now wait for bug fixes

I am facing a very bad experience with the service and performance of my new hondacity 1.5gxi. I had been facing problems in my new hondacitygxi 1.5 since the day one in service and in performance.

The vehicle is not all that great.
The build quality of the vehicle is inferior than most small cars.
Add to that the factory fitted speakers are useless
Would advise to stay away from this car.
The much talked about fuel efficiency is not that great too
And the service network is really poor(at least in Delhi)

Its facinating reading your comments on the New Honda City CVT!
Well we have been using this vehichel and yes its a fantastic car! BUT I will contridict to all the reviews regarding the fule effency! I have been driving the New Honda City CVT since November 2003 and the car by now has run almost 5300 km. Till date this CVT hasn't give me a milage above 9 kmpl! The worst that I got was 6.3 kmpl!
Have been in contact with the honda tecnicians who have been kind of co-operative, but till date have not been able to sort this out for me.
So please review this car well before you but it! Also be prepared(from my experience) a full tank(42 liters) will only drive your car upto 290 / 310 kms.

I bought this car under the impression it will be 100% trouble free.
I have reported that this vehicle is having suspension problem and tyre rumbling sound on long heated tarmac at high speeds on tamil nadu or Karnataka high ways.Inspite mr mathew of Pennunsuliar did attempt to stop the suspension sound nothing has happened .The car is due for its 3rd service, I would like to know what you could do for me to stop the suspension sound ans tyre upsizing as seen on vehicles abroad 15 inch . at your cost or I do a lot of running around my opel nor my imported vehicles give this trouble.
hence I request you once again to do the need ful or else sell this car to a buyer without me loosing money,

New Honda is surprisingly bad in fuel effeciency. The company claims 40% more than earlier model but I got just 9 / litre in Mumbai city with AC on. Its not bad but nowhere close to the projections. I am surprised how magazines like Overdrive can write misleading ROAD TEST results.
