Not the best LB

Originality:

Being an old-school Limp Bizkit fan (and that is not too long ago, just bout 3-4 years), this album turned out to be a jump back to reality. The LB of the old times - Pollution, Stuck, Counterfeit, Break Stuff, Nookie, etc... I can name dozens of good songs - it was gone. It was replaced with this pieca crap that had the f-word every other line. Of course, this album had its positives, but there were not too many.

Let me make it simple for you: the first few times you hear this album, it will seem like the coolest stuff off the face of the earth. But if you actually compare these songs to those that were previously recorded by LB, you will notice a glaring difference. Songs like Hot Dog, My Generation, My Way and The One, leave you thinking ''What the f*ck?'' I didn't pay for this - this is not what I wanted.

Other songs such as Rollin' ARV (although it got irritating soon) and Boiler were actually tolerable. There were a few good numbers, such as Full Nelson, Livin' It Up, Take A Look Around and also the rap tracks - Getcha Groove On and Rollin' UAV. Although I haven't listened to this CD for over a year now, I can still recall the lyrics to these few songs.

However, having given all that criticism, this is probably the ideal stepping stone for Indian rock and metal fans to get onto the main circuit. It mixes up Pop music with a bitta Rap and a teensy mixture of Metal - to produce some tolerable garbage. You can make your choice. I know that this review has probably been quite insulting to Fred and his crew but that is just what I have to say.

One final note: with Wes Borland having left the band, this group has no where to go but down (unless some extremely revolutionary guitarist joins). Already, Fred's showing signs of losing his originality (by copying NIN and several other bands - all of which are ironically listed in the credits) that made him and LB popular when it first came out. Take your choice - if you wanna get an LB album, I'd recommend Significant Other and then $3 Bill Y'all...otherwise just keep your money. ;) See ya.
