In this age ,when practically every skin flick is failing left ,right and centre comes another brain damage CHETNA with cheap ,vulgar and more of *rostitute kind of actress Payal Rohatgi who is finally reaching towards the last stage of her career .
The film is D grade in every aspect right from direction ,production values and performance .It's nightmare in true sense for all those who dare to sit through it !
The film begins with dialogues like ''Biwi Raat Ko Roti Garam kar sakti hain bistar nahin !'' and you know exactly what to expect .Skin show and smooch !
The story is very similar to entertaing AITRAAZ but its exceution is absolute painful .Priyanka comes out as delight, but Payal shows no such promise. The film comes out with the concept of woman seduction and invading institution of marriage. In a hot pursuit to make things happen she uses her power, position and money. The film glorifies sexual harassment at the working place and this time woman rules the show. The script is so weak and narration so boring that the viewer can easily anticipate its climax.
Jatin Garewal plays a happily married man until his multi millionare boss Payal starts lusting for him .In order to save his job ,Jatin agrees to ''compromise''.The wife's revenge forms the balance of the story .
Partho Ghosh direction is pathetic to say the least. Poor and absurd script, inexpressive performances and pathetic music tell the dismal story of loosely conceived 'Chetna - The Excitement'. The title looks illogical and it's difficult to correlate the word ''the excitement'' with the title character 'Chetna'. The film fails to bind audience as it lacks continuity. The plot and climax are insipid and predictable. The characterization is half-baked. The music lacks the grip to hold the situation. Partho Ghosh's filming comes out to be his weakest presentation.
Ghosh has earlier given hits like 'Agnisakshi' and '100 Days'. The director has shared special on screen chemistry with Nana Patekar in films like 'Agnisakshi', 'Ghulam-e-Mustafa' and 'Yugpurush'. 'Chetna- The Excitement' is his first presentation that is based on sexual and physical relations. Unfortunately, Partho Ghosh's last two films 'Surya' (2003) and 'Maseeha' (2002) were complete washouts and no big claims can be made for this disaster.
Payal exudes her physical anatomy in the art of seduction and deceit, but lacks screen presence. Her dialogue delivery lacks the gripping.she is truely the worst actress across this atlantic . Weak characterizations make things worse and as the plot thickens Payal's dialogues sound absurd. Newcomer Jatin Grewal looks like idiot .
Kiran Kumar looks confuse and his acting is so so. Yunus Sajawal's story and screenplay are weird and inexpressive. Dialogues too lack the tenacity to bind audiences for two hours. Akram Khan's cinematography captures the urban beauty of Dubai. Posh shopping mall and well furnished office complexes shows authenticity with the script.
Daboo Malik's music is pathetic and boring. All songs are avoidable .
All in all a D grade film that can be watched to know how bad , a bad film can be !
A sure shot disaster !
