I am at an age of 60 yrs with a heart problem we watch TV serials and news. The channels are backed by advertisements for meeting their budgets and target of profits.
They produce serials which sells. It is very good. The nes channels also telecast new that sells sourrounded by a lot of advertisement.
I think there should be some regulation of advertisement duration in an episode of a serial or news channel. We lose charm of watching serial due to bombarding of ads. We mute the TV or change channel when an unliked or repeated ad appears. I think many must be doing so. The government should do something in this direction, like they act on mobile tariff, air fares etc.
Moreover the governmnet should make it compulsory to telecast some educative or awakening programme for viewers. The audio visulal method of teaching or enlightening people is most effective method.
