Mr. P.Vasu.please refrain from directing. I'm begging of you.
An incompetent fool should never be allowed to touch a remake of Malayalam classic, Manichtranazhu [Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Shobana, 1993]. But even P.Vasu's too idiotic to notice that.
Tempted as Rajnikanth's comeback, there's no bones about that the original plot surrounding a plethora of characters would be obviously sidelined for Rajni's "Superhero" skills. But can he act? Nope, that's why he's called Rajni "CAN'T".
And what was the purpose of the first couple of scenes? Surely Sivaji must be rolling in is grave after watching Rajnikanth punch and fly, show electric graphics, have Vidyasagar compose high voltage music for hero. Lather, Rinse and Repeat for another 10 minutes. If you've seen Sottaji the loss(Sivaji the boss), I've said enough.
Prabhu and Jothika's acting is below par and rather rushed. Nayantara is fugly and wasted. Vidyasagar repeats his tunes from Run and his earlier hits.
Rajnikanth should also stop acting. For those idiots who actually praise him like god, get a life, grow a backbone and move on. Weren't for K.Balachander's milking of this so-called "actor", along with hackeyned remakes of various Amitabh Bachchan, Shoban Babu or Chiranjeevi films, this guy is actually worthless. Even T. Rajendar can ACT way better than this guy. Of course, his only good film was Mani Ratnam's "Thalapathi", but again that's Mani's work of reforming Rajni's formulaic acting prior to falling into the commercial films of doom. That's why he's a laughing stock everywhere.
You want to see a better version of Manichitranazhu? Watch Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Priyadarshan assisted in directing the original and if you see that remake in Hindi, it's MUCH MUCH true to the original. Plain and Simple.
