SRK's new movie and I don't go to watch it - thats impossible and to walk out of the hall in the middle of his film is even more impossible so I kept sitting to regret later.
Well I am talking bout his much hyped latest flick Chalte Chalte. The film was a huge disappointment...I mean one expected something different from Aziz mirza the director and stars like SRK and Rani Mukherjee. I was not in a mood to give away the story but there is nothing to hide......the film is so predictable from the very first scene.
With shades of Saathiyahere and there the film tells the story of Raj (SRK) who loves Priya (rani) and after crossing several hurdles (like chasing her to Greece) manages to marry her.Then what happens is anybody's guess. The problems of married life start propping up. Sometimes they patch up and sometimes they dont. But in the end the usual happy ending with both finally patching up. Believe me the movie is a bigger bore than what it seems from my review.
The silly points You won't believe it but I watched the movie twice, the second time when one of my frendz (or was he a foe.... .methinks in retrospect)almost begged me to go with him as he had not seen the movie and nobody was there to accompany him. Well the second time I watched the movie to figure out the goof ups and I figured out the whole movie. But here are a couple of them worth mention:
We find SRK and Rani both managing 25 lacs each to repay a loan of the same amount taken from Jas Arora who plays Rani's friend. In the end he actually ends up getting 50 lacs for the 25 lacs he lent. Jab miya biwi paaji tab aish karega kazi.
Then in the last scene we see SRK frantically searching for Rani inside the airport. He shouts ''Priyaaaaaaaaaa'' at the top of his voice but we still see people all around going about their business without even noticing the yelling nerd present there.
So if its too hot, your a.c. is not working and you need a good sleep, follow the following steps and you will snore your way through the next 3 hours:
1) Get out of your house and find a hall (having an ac preferably) which has Chalte Chalte running.
2)Go to the ticket counter and buy a ticket, that won't be tough with word of mouth spreading like fire in the jungle.
3)Find your seat, allow yourself to be tortured for the first few minutes and bingo! mission accomplished.
