Caramel is a bakery, cafe located on the Lobby Level of Vivanta by Taj Blue Diamond, Koregaon Park. I rely loved their logo having the caramel dripping in the picture.
Really innovative. the place is small having a big sofa and table with comfy chair seating. the place isn't so crowded so the space doesn't matter that much.
As they say you eat with your eyes first and they have kept that very well in mind. the bakery products, cakes, pastries are very colourfully displayed and tempt you to try each one of them.
Perfectly lit place and a decent decor. the place also has a light coffee fragrance in the ambience which reaches right unto the lobby and draws you in.
Hot Chocolate( my favourite is from starbucks and this was a lil disappointing, too sweet for my liking) their coffees range from panama to kenya to brazil of which I tried Ethiopian Yargecheffe( as the word sound confusing and so is the coffee flavour.
Straight forward, citrusy flavour, and a kick of pepper) Darjeeling First Flush( has a floral sweet taste to it and is refreshingly new) you can actually ask the staff to explain each type of tea and coffee and I was actually amazed by their knowledge of beans.
I heard a lot about the Aloo Mutter Samosa from friends and it was actually good. big in size, crisp on the outside, doesn't have the oily residue to it and the filling is medium spicy well cooked aloo mutter sabzi) Chicken Pattice( crisp, chicken mince well cooked and spiced well).
Star of the day was their Apple pie( heated to make it softer, yummy, buttery flaky crust, a blast of flavour when put in the mouth) you can also have a variety of croissants and cakes they have on offer. the staff is quick to respond and pricing on the higher end. will definitely be back for their cakes some day. till then I can assure you the cafe is good to be at.
