Horrible Place. Do Not Go. . Review on Canopy, MG Road, Bangalore

I read the reviews and was impressed by the place. The location is good as I wanted a place for celebrating my son's first birthday. I do not know where to start the whole sour experience that we had.

• First of all their menu is was not flexible. They said take it or leave it.

  
  

  We did not have a choice to walk away as we had already paid about 5k as deposit.

  
  

  We were given options of ONLY VEG (180), ONLY NON-VEG (250) and a MIX (270).

  
  

  And they would not budge, I am okay with not budging on cost, but no budging on items as well.

  
  




• Next the hall and the place comes with nothing, no sound system that they have or anything.

  
  

  I expect this from a normal hall that I would have rented, but not from such a place.

  
  

  We wanted to go a restaurant so that we do not run around for each and every stuff.

  
  




• When we were decorating the place and wanted some light in, they would NOT EVEN ALLOW

  
  

  US TO KEEP THE CURTAINS OPEN. This was such a pain. The staff especially the management

  
  

  is a LOW CLASS culture crowd and cannot communicate with COURYSEY.

  
  




• This is the icing on the cake: They had kept pushing us for a MIX menu which as you would

  
  

  guess, was the most expensive. Now since we ordered separate Non-Veg and Veg, we had

  
  

  asked them to be served in different tables. They served it in a completely different area.

  
  

  The reasons being they did not want to loose count of Veg picking from non-veg.

  
  

  THIS IS SO CHEAP from their end, we asked to serve it in the same area and THEY REFUSED.

  
  

  This happened in the last moment when the food was served, so I could not even make a scene.

  
  

  Imagine, I personally had to sit with each of my veggie guests while they had dinner and

  
  

  APOLOGIZE to them. I can understand if this is done for space, but there was ample space.

  
  




• I had a long chat with the manager at the end and he then agreed that he was to blame for it

  
  

  and his intentions were not right when he did the above.

  
  




• The whole thing has just left a very very bad taste in my mouth.
