I am having a no frill account with canara bank.i am using it for last 8 years and ll do lot of online transactions.recently while checking my statement I found some unusual transaction which debitted money from my account and it was marked as 'CAN SARAL' and it was found they debited amount ( rs 150) every month.
On seeing this I called their customer care and said this details and what they responded was shocking. They said you are having a no frill account and you are doing more than 5 transactions every month and if you do it we will debit amount every month. I dont know why they are charging for online transaction, every bank ll encourage us to do online transaction but what they do is to discourage us from using their services.Even its a no frill account when a customer uses it to his maximum by doing more transaction it would buildup bank funds rather than lying dormant for months without any transactions. Canara bank need to change this way of doing business!
