DO NOT BUY the low end Vaios Sony has introduced. I had bought a Sony E Series laptop, VCCEA12EN about 6 months ago. The hard disk crashed in 3 months. A few of my office colleagues had also bought this same laptop, at least 2 of the other 4 laptops had the same hard disk failure.
There is some issue with Sony hard disks. If you have a Sony laptop, take backups at least 1-2 times a week.
The batter life is way too low. Just over 1 hour. My 3 year old earlier laptop still runs over 2 hours on battery.
So while the cosmetics look good, these are severe limitations.
