I have used BSBL BB earlier when it provided speeds upto 512kbps.
Currently, for last 7 weeks I'm using BSNL BB ULD 945(+tax) plan with 8GB limit. The connection speeds promised are 2 Mbps & 1Mbps for download & upload respectively.
In between, I have used Tata Indicom photon plus wifi with speeds of 3.1Mbps & 1.8Mbps for 3 years.
Speed Comparison
Although the later one was a wifi device but still comparing the speeds promised and what we actually get, photon plus went from good in first year to average in second and below average(or poor) in the last year.
I never had issues of Speed with BSNL BB earlier(almost 2 years). The speeds promised were comparable to what we actually got. Talking about new current connection, my limit of 8GB was over in 13 days(there are multiple users in my house) but the REDUCED SPEED(512Kbps) is still comparable to what I was getting with tata indicom in its 3rd year and I'm using wifi on my laptop to connect to my modem which is placed about 10-13m far.
So, speeds BSNL provides are much better than other ISPs promising high speeds.
Also, comparing price-wise, there is a saving of at least 100-150 rupees if you choose a similar plan from other ISPs.
Customer Service Experience(From my earlier BB connection)
Yes, this was poor. Although, you won't find problems for months, but when you do, they may take more time than you expect.
