I purchased a WImax kit and applied for a broadband connection around 3 years ago and the my experience is more or less the same as experienced by other BSNL broadband users.
At first the internet was running fine for around 6 months - I think because of the less no of connections. Then after that it was a kind of hectic. The internet would disconnect every now and then and the servers kept down for the whole day. Sometimes it also happens that the network keeps fluctuating - this second you are connected and the other not and the other connected which feels very frustrated.
As the no. of customers increased the network strength and reliability goes on decreasing - I personally think they uses old servers.
I think that BSNL broadband is for home purposes.You can uses it for business also if u work is of short period. You cannot use it for card billing and all.
