We lodged a service complaint with LG Services to get our Microwave serviced, to be promptly called by a service person within an hour asking for directions.
As LG is known for their service, we did not bother to check the credentials of the person. 2 people tried something for an hour and said, a few parts needs replacment hence has to be taken to the service center. We agreed. All this happened on the 4th of August. on 8th August the MW was delivered back with a bill of 4, 400/- replacing magnetron & transformer!!!! only the front panel was not working when it went.
This is when I got a doubt and looked at the bill only to find that it was some company by name Brand Workshop and claimed that they are authorised service dealers. Anyways the MW did not work for more than a day. Now after 20 days, the PCB needs to be replaced - REPLACE THE WHOLE MW MAN!!!!!....Upon enquiry with a LG engineer who used to visit us (lucky to have his number on a n old invoice), we were told that LG has not outsourced/appointed any dealer & a MW service no matter what parts would not cost 4K +....Today morning I got hold of one Karthik who said he is in charge of karnataka for Brand works. He now admits that they are not authorised but will service any product.
people be ware of such frauds. Check the credentials of people claiming to be aurtorised service agents/dealers...most companies inform you if they have such an arrangement. Carelessness on our part has left us 4K poorer and still the MW is not working.
