Pathetic Quality! Pathetic After Sale Service!
We bought a Bosch 6 Kg Washing Machine Model WAB16260IN /08 in the year 2014(copy of invoice enclosed). This was based on our perception of BOSCH BRAND.of so call GERMAN Perfection & Engineering.
The machine is of average look and feel … with little noise average washing quality was average.
Within a year of purchase, the machine started showing signs of rust. We lodged a complaint with the customer care .who send their service guy after a lot of following up.
On inspection of the machine, he himself was surprised as to why there is so much rusting as the machine was kept properly in a clean and dry location and was properly maintained.
After a lot of following up, we got the reply that it is due to living in Noida which has a lot of air pollution.
What a Joke! If you have nothing to find. Blame it on the rain!
One fine day, on opening the front door after washing we find were fumes coming from inside.
We called the service Center when someone claiming from Service center came after 3 days. Just to say that he does not have the tools to open the machine for inspection.
Again after a lot of calls to Service center, the service guy again came with and made a pathetic attempt to open the machine; Nearly broke the panel in the process.
Still was unable to open the machine, the claimed that the nuts are rusted. Demanded Kerosene oil so that he can soak the nuts.
We arranged some machine oil which he used to soak the nuts and informed that he will come the next day and will try to open the machine.
Even after chasing for a week ….no one came.
We again tried the service no provided on Bosch website & happened to try a different no. Got another shock!
Our complaint was never registered with the company. So the question was who had come earlier when we had registered the complaint on Bosch Service center?
& why was the complaint not registered.?
We again followed the same drill of calling the service center and after a lot of pursuing the service, the engineer was sent who dropped another bomb!
The prognosis
The machine drum has got damaged(Cost: 10, 000), Housing(Rs 9000/-) along with Rubber(Cost Rs 2300), and heating element(Rs 2600/-). The estimated repair bill is app 24, 000/-(copy of Bill enclosed).
The best part is that there is no warranty on repair work that will be done.
Imagine a repair bill of 80% of the purchase. The icing on the cake is that this same new model is available for less than 24500 with 2 yrs of a comprehensive warranty and 10 yrs on motors
We are made to feel fools and idiots in preferring and buying Bosch over other brands and paying premium The machine was bought for Rs 30000/- and we could have easily got us an LG / IFG / Samsung at nearly 25 to 30% to what we paid for Bosch
Even the service engineer who had come for repairs mentioned that the quality of the machine is worst / substandard and they should buy a new washing machine and of another brand.
I have vowed to never buy any Bosch product and will insist that you go for any brand except Bosch.
Never Touch Bosch in your life .even if they will give it for free
