Multiple Projects Ruined by Poor Quality, Delays, and Unprofessionalism
If you're considering Bonito Designs for your home interior design, I strongly urge you to think twice. I’ve worked on three projects with them(Project IDs: 10249, 12819, 13721), each costing over 10 lakhs, and each plagued with significant issues. My experience makes it clear: these aren’t isolated problems, but systemic failures that will cost you time, money, and peace of mind.
- Shoddy Workmanship and Poor Attention to Detail:
Bonito Designs consistently delivered poor quality workmanship across all three projects. A prime example is the TV unit ledge, which was supposed to be a continuous piece but came with a poorly placed joint that ruined the entire design. Despite repeated promises to fix it, they took no action. If you're looking for high-quality finishing, Bonito Designs will leave you disappointed.
- Unacceptable Delays and Broken Promises:
For Project 12819, I experienced a 5-month delay—despite being promised a 90-day completion. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt and approved an incomplete design, believing they would finalize it later. However, once approval was given, they became completely unresponsive to my requests. When I followed up, they offered weak excuses like needing “3-5 days to provide renders due to their software.” Worse, they unapologetically stated that I wasn’t their only client, as if that justified their neglect. These delays are not rare—they are consistent across their projects.
- Lazy, Uninspired Designs that Don’t Meet Expectations:
Bonito’s design team appears disinterested in producing creative or thoughtful work. For my child’s study unit, they initially presented a below-average design that even a regular carpenter could surpass. I had to resort to Pinterest for inspiration and then guide their team on how to improve the design. For a company that claims to specialize in interior design, this lack of initiative and imagination is shocking.
- Terrible Project Management - You Will Do All the Work:
One of the most frustrating aspects of dealing with Bonito Designs is that there is no single point of contact to manage your project. As a customer, you will be forced to constantly chase them for updates on design, production, dispatch, and execution. Bonito offers zero accountability, leaving you to handle everything on your own. If you want a hassle-free interior design experience, this is not the company for you.
- Nonexistent Quality Control - Prepare for Major Issues:
Bonito Designs claims to have a quality check process, but it is practically nonexistent. Throughout my projects, I personally found multiple issues, including missing panels, hinge caps, poor cleaning, and even property damage. If you expect a high level of care and attention to detail, prepare to be severely disappointed.
Conclusion: Don’t Fall for Their Promises
In conclusion, my experience with Bonito Designs has been nothing short of a nightmare. For the premium price they charge, the level of service and quality delivered is completely unacceptable. I am attaching screenshots of my WhatsApp and email conversations with their team to provide further proof of their unprofessionalism. I hope this will help potential customers avoid the mistakes I made by choosing Bonito Designs.
If you value your time, money, and home, stay away from Bonito Designs. There are plenty of other design firms that offer better quality, better service, and more respect for your investment.
