While the monsoons are greeted with joyous celebrations across the length and breadth of the country, for the Mumbaikars, it’s a sheer nightmare. The proud owner of a swanky new automobile might flaunt it to the whole world but for a Mumbaikar, the acquisition is better off in the garage under a hood than on the roads during the monsoon season.
For MC’s (Middle Class junta) like me, traveling around the city is a veritable nightmare. The BEST buses ply on the worst nightmarish of roads. To say that the roads are infested with potholes would be a deplorable understatement. Rather, saying that there are sporadic traces or patches of asphalt and tar on what are supposed to be roads would be putting it in the right perspective.
