Bokaro is also known as the steel city of Chhattisgarh. This place is famous for Bokaro Steel Plant which is one of the major steel plant of Public Sector Undertaking. So, Bokaro has no major public mode airport but its own private air strip which is in use during visit of major senior management professional of the company or politicians visit in their private aircraft.
Its infrastructure is quite good because of its frequent accessibility and it is maintained under the administration of the company only and hence, staff deputed are also the manpower of the company who are trained officials. It is not for general public access as there is no major flight from here.
