Blue dart is possibly the worst courier service for the courier charges and the claims they make. Blue dart courier service claims to deliver items generally by 24-48 hours in 85% of cases for short distances. It charges a hefty price for the courier. In spite of heavy charges and claims they fail to deliver in time. The reasons often sited is flight/train delay/ cancelled. Sometimes the charges are so expensive its better to deliver by hand. At least we can deliver in 24 hours. I had really bad experiences and earlier where I was supposed to receive and send certain documents for VISA.
I had cancelled and postponed my VISA appointment because of late delivery by blue dart. The documents were delivered after 72 hours against the claimed delivery time of hours. And this happened, not just once but twice. There is no point in contacting customer service as they cant reverse the damage done by them.
I would say we often underestimate or sideline our good old 'speed post'. They do a better job at reasonable price and very responsible.
