I'm a fan of English comedies, but BigFlix's is collection in this genre is pathetically poor. Some idiot sod at BigFlix seems to randomly decide what qualifies as comedy and what doesn't. For crying out loud, they have "Ocean's Thirteen", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Disturbia" marked as comedies!!! (amongst a host of other incongruous titles)
Disturbia??? A comedy??? What warped mind at BigFlix qualified that as a comedy??They're missing most of the classic, excellent comedies of Monty Python, Leslie Nielsen, etc.
Their content is heavily edited. They stock Eros movies [Eros is a company which makes their own and also distribute foreign movies]. These people are so bad that they completely degrade the quality of the movie in the post-processing, which involves stitching the indian censor board’s certificate in the main movie, making edits in the audio of the movie to remove invectives and sexual scenes, and in the process making the original 5.1 surround to 2.0 stereo.
Their delivery timings of Discs are very odd and only comfortable to those who have atleast one person at their home all the time [Note: they do offer the option of delivering the discs at their branches, so you have to personally go and collect them. If you are living next to such a branch or if it comes in your way to work or daily travel, then you are in luck!)
They are a bit lazy to update their stocks, especially their English soaps (Boston Legal, 24, LOST, etc).
Their interface is acceptable. They have a decent website (it has it’s own set of ‘browser-compatibility issues’) and they have a nice queue system. They were the first to start with a bang and also retail presence( as expected with all ADAG companies).
