BEWARE OF APPCO. I WOULD HAVE STILL BOUGHT THE CONNECTION IF THESE FACTS WERE TOLD UPFRONT ALSO. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT, NOW I FEEL CONNED BECAUSE OF LIES, NOTHING ELSE. THAT MAKES DIFFERENCE.
All the consumers:
Beware of appco / BIG TV marketing strategy. Appco guys are big time liars and have no ethics. They blatantly lie and get the cheque and that it, you will never be able to talk to them once cheque is credited.
Reliance is equally responsible and have to answer the credibility. The biggest lies are:
- Offer price of 50% off AND 1+1 offer on top of that - appco guys will tell you that, you get 4980 worth connection only for 2980. AND, if you get another connection (1 + 1), you need to pay only for one - that is 2980 can be shared between two.
THIS IS NOT TRUE, IN FACT, ACTUAL CONNECTION COSTS ONLY 1490. THIS IS COMPARABLE WITH TATA SKY/AIRTEL DTH etc.
Remote that can be used for TV as well as STBox. THIS IS NOT THE CASE WHEN YOU GET THE STBox - YOU WILL BE TOLD AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION THAT "Actually Sir, that remote comes with other connection (expensive one). This one you can use for volume control and other stuff. " Why appco says the otherway round before collecting the cheque/payment?
SMART CARD - YOU CAN DISCONNECT FOR SHORT TIME - WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF STATION FOR A WEEK, JUST REMOVE THE SMART CARD, YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR THAT PERIOD" This is snother big lie, the smart card facility can be used if the period is minimum of 3 MONTHS. Where is 1 - 2 weeks promise ?
I AM YET TO GET THE CONNECTION.
