Does Bhoot(Ghost) exists or it’s a fear which lies within our mind and heart, thou this belief is based on ones perception but kudos to RGV who knows how to play with audience mind and the belief of having Bhoot existence.

Bhoot Returns is essentially is not a typical Indian Horror movie like of Bhat camp and Ramsay brothers because you cannot see Bhoot physchandru021y with red eyes, blood bathed tooth, long nails, body scars ,torn clothes etc but here you will feel the presence of somebody being there. It’s the mind of the viewer which imagines the next probable event thou to its disappointment and director’s pleasure it will never happened and you keep guessing.

Bhoot Returns is a story of the Awasthi Family who has shifted to a new house which suppose to be haunted along with their son and daughter Nimmi. Her daughter befriend with Shabbo who is visible only to her and nobody in house. With the growing instances of her relationship with Shabbo Her parent’s concern increases by day. Pooja ,Tarun Awasthi’s Sister who has visited this house for vacation suspect something fishy in house and decide to find out the truth. Will she succeed? Does Shabbo Exists?

Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) was known for innovative scripts until he made Sholay Remake(RGV ki Aag) in his bad fortune era, thou with Bhoot Returns one could appreciate his efforts to bring unconventional Indian cinema for Horror Genre. We knew that whatever RGV made these days people in media are in the front row to write worst about him or his movies, thou one should not create a concrete perception on these news . RGV has done credible job to play with Fear and mind of the audience. He made successful attempts to let his audience plat ‘What’s next’. Thou definitely despite movie 94 mins run, I believe that movie could has been snipped for more 15 mins pre intermission because at one point audience start feeling that director is fooling them. And yes Climax could be disturbing and objectionable for few.

The complete team Manisha Koirala as Namrata Awasthi, J.D.Chakravarthy as Tarun Awasthi, Madhu Shalini as Pooja and Alayana Sharma as Nimmi(Special Mention) has done impressive job. All characters has been sketched short, crisp and clear.

Sandeep Chowtha and cinematography team [ Harsharaj Shroff & M.Ravichandran Thevar] are in real sense the heroes of the movie, without the background score and the superb camerawork this movie has no soul. 3D Work is excellent and you can feel objects right near you including water showers right on your face thou there were many frames which actually cause hindrance in smooth viewing since you should not convert everything in 3D, one need to take care of camera angles which are different both in 3d and 2d cinematography.

Overall, our Ramu (RGV) has come with a bang and with Bhoot Returns its actually RGV who has return to its original track. Keep Guessing !

Regards
