I am writing this review with full of tears I want to vent out my frustration.
Todays date is 24 Nov 2021.
I took the appointment last week to meet the doctor.
My mother is parkinsons patient she is 76.
In October, my mother was admitted to a different hospital for covid by Gods grace she got discharged within 10days,
But doctor told heart pumping is not okay and hence need to take echo and that was taken.
Again by God's grace, everything is normal.
But they asked me to continue with blood thinners.
Already my mother is taking so many tablets and hence I was adviced by many people to take the second opinion.
I would like to say here the hospital which I visited for mothers treatment was very good. Hospital name Cosh which is in Selaiyur. The staff nurse I would say them, God. Every staff member was very very nice. They respected the age of my parents and they treated very well.
Infact I have personally written to the chief doctor about each and every staff how nice they were. I am infact even now I'm thankful to Cosh Hospital.
It is my mistake I came for a second opinion in Bharath Hospital.
Since my father aged 80 is taking the opinion from here.
He also had a problem and hence I consulted here. The doctor cardiologist was very good and that is the only reason I came all the way from Tambaram to Nanganallur to take opinion.
Even for my father, I would say every time even though we take appointment prior and come here, the time taken here was very long.
I would not mind the time taken coz the doctor's consultation was very good. He takes his time to talk to the patient and listens to them.
And my father can wait he is not that much sick.
But today when I took my mother I came to know the reality.
My mother being already sick she weighs only 36 and parkinsons ..ortho problem she cannot even sit continuously for 30 minutes.
The appointment is at 9 A.M. We came sharp at 8:30 AM. We were told that doctor will come after half an hour so we can have something and come.
So I just gave the file.
We had our breakfast and we reached there at 8:45 AM.
The first patient was in and he came out at 9 or 9:9:05 not sure of the exact timing.
Next, we need to go. Now another person who just need to show the report has come.
We asked why they were letting them in a polite manner. We did not start the fight.
But we got a harsh/rude reply from the staff nurse saying it is the doctor's relation. She also said that if you come to the hospital you need to wait, she did not consider my mother's age also and her sickness also.
So we did not say anything.
Myself and mother are talking why they are looking this at least in a polite manner they can reply, immediately the nurse staff started shouting at us saying if you come at hospital you need to wait. So my father asked the receptionist staff we came in time and why it is happening like this my wife is unable to sit.
At this point of time, even the doctor came out and started shouting at us, humiliating at us.
Infact he is senior chief doctor whom I respected all these days because this waiting at this hospital is not new for us and we do understand other's difficult also.
The doctor did not allow us to speak he said in front of all the staff and patients that my father being this much age is not having patience and he should practice patience..he made my father to ask sorry. I really cannot accept this coz at his age he did not do any mistake.
My staff is god to me. I appreciate him for treating his employee well but not at the rate of humiliating others.
The doctor is saying the nurses are like God.
I agree with this only true nurses, other staff members are like God .
We know how to treat them please for heaven's sake you do not teach us. Since I already mentioned at Cosh Hospital staff, nurses, ambulance driver everyone is God to us. I have shared my personal message to the chief doctor also. My only mistake is I came here since for my father for the past 3 years am taking opinion from here. One can question for the past 3 years you are ok with the service and now problem.
The problem is not with service but with the attitude and having courtesy. Even for my father though I took appointment and arrive early every time we were not allowed. In between the staff's relatives or friends will come.
We really did not mind coz my father was able to sit.
The nurse was rudely saying my mother who is nearly 76 and not able to sit also "you need to wait".
If we need to wait there is a way of saying.
As a nurse first of all have courtesy.
Rudeness will not help you in long way.
Today you may have support but the world is small you never knew what is next.
I bet if you have this attitude and if you are going to change to the next hospital no one will back you.
You may be perfect in your service ..you may have knowledge but with no proper attitude, things would be difficult.
You will realize this when you as a customer or waiting for some service somewhere.
He also said Morning 8 o clock I will give appointment and evening 4 o clock, I will see the patient and you cannot question me.
He humiliated me and my parents very badly.
When I said my mother cannot sit he just said so what you can request for the bed to rest.
There is no courtesy. He also said if am relation comes I should ask them to come in the queue, should i not see them?
Next is rules should be applied to all, my father my mistake wore chappals inside and was asked to remove the same outside.
Then why not the same for the relation also.
Hospital means hygiene right..everyone should feel safe and hygiene right.
Already I have so many problems.
For my mother am running like a fool to hospitals coz I'm scared and all I got from here is humiliation. I'm really scared to share my opinion also, not sure what will happen but I'm depressed because of this incident.
I went there with the hope to solve my mother's problem.
Now all the tests are done tomorrow, on 25th Nov, I need to collect the report I'm not in a position to collect the same from there.
If the hospital staff nurse who created the problem who was rude and harsh is so much nice and God then why she accepted the sorry and created a fuss.
My father is 80 years and that nurse is not even half the age of my father.
I also asked sorry. She did not have the courtesy to say it's okay. She is called God.
Let her be God,
I only pray to real God my family should not visit this hospital never ever again.
I will also not recommend this hospital in the future to anyone.
The reason I'm writing here is myself or my father were not able to speak in the hospital they did not allow us to speak.
He also said this is not a government hospital this is what I want to emphasis here, yes this is a private hospital and I'm paying so much here nothing is free only after paying the money the result you are showing. You are doctor, staff nurse like GOD and not God .
You come at 8 or 4 ..you may not come also that is your wish. We the people trust the doctors so much we fall at your feet. But only few doctors have courtesy.... unfortunately those doctors are not recognized
So much humiliation I'm just venting out.
I really hope that nurse will face some problems for bringing me into this situation.
You can take this as a curse also.
Your employee may be God to you as you said without them you will be in road.
Treat the patients with utmost care do not humiliate them today I may be small or I do not have any power but real God is seeing you.
Questions I would like to ask
1. If relatives can come in between even though not urgent you can visit them in person to relative home and treat them. I agree this is your own establishment and you can very well have your own rules. Remember doctor professional is also a service if is not like any other professional that has the reason as you said treat the staff as God.
We know sir when to treat them as God respect should come automatically and not forced.Do not teach us.
2. You said you know everyone in doctor's field and you also said you are the one who is spending time with patients and treating them with utmost care and doing your best. Yes, I agree you are ALSO doing the professional accordingly that is the reason we took all the effort to come from Tambaram to Nanganallur with sick patient. We respected you. Thank you for being professional.
3. Thank you to the staff nurse for humiliating us. I think one of the subject professional ethics has left in choice. Let it be my mistake as per your words a truly professional person will not make the patient sicker by words like this.
In my life, I have visited many hospitals for myself coz of so many reasons thank god, not for serious reasons I have never met a person/staff like this. I used to observe the people who come with serious complications or senior citizens and how they used to wait in hospitals. Infact we people waiting outside for the doctor or the staff will ask us permission or request us for letting them in.
They never humiliated the patient or patients attender senior citizens were respected. I am being a woman and my parents being aged so much were not able to raise the voice.
Will you do the same thing if a big power or most influenced person? Will you talk in the same manner you did to me?
4. I usually do not shout or create noise outside I just ignore. Today I'm totally depressed. Will you be able to give my peace of mind? You are saying doctors should work in peace what about the patient that too senior citizen. Sir again I'm saying you do not teach me how to respect your staff I know okay to whom I should give respect and who should be treated as God.
You can keep in written you will experience the same thing waiting for your turn for x time and then someone should go then you will know the pain.
5. Don't you know even patients should be respected.
Sir, you said this is not the government hospital. I really do not understand the meaning of this.
You said we should come to the hospital, wait patiently and should not question you or staff even when somebody goes in between in this case it was said your relative, so do you think I'm that much not having brain or you are a doctor and so you are higher than GOD.
Sir you please practice your profession and do not become a professor to me.
I'm well educated just coz I do not come with high society status you cannot treat me and my family like this.
Sir, I'm paying money and nothing is free of service.
Though you are a doctor does not mean you can talk as you want.
Just imagine I am giving a simple example you go to some shop and wait for your billing and someone comes in between, now the owner of the shop and billing person shoots at you will you accept?
I do agree we are dependent on you because we trust you. We treat you as God that does not mean we should keep silent.
First of all, try to be unbiased to your employees and patients.
I really hope I will never ever meet your wonderful staff or you in future. I'm saying staff because the staff is the reason for this being not polite rude ..harsh like school student telling lies and complaining to headmaster when done mistake and hiding the truth. As you said that is your establishment your hospital but the staff who knows she may be in some other hospital on job change. I pray to God both the staff should stick to this hospital because joining other hospital will spoil other hospital names also.
If it is really good hospital, these two staff will get left-right..you never know what will happen next that is why karma is there.
Remember, just because we asked sorry does not mean we are really sorry which shows our well-educated behavior ..we ate far better than you and your staff.
I do not want to give respect to your hospital.
6. YOU asked my father who was as per process wearing a double mask one is surgical and the other is a cotton mask to wear properly. If you would have observed or if you have a CCTV camera, all-time he was wearing the mask properly. ONE SEC the mask got loose and it fell down a little and you said in a harsh tone.
That's s fine.
First of all, ask your receptionist with spectacles to wear the mask not even for namesake, she was wearing the mask.
Also, the lab person was not wearing the mask. I think the hospital is treating covid patients also. Why there is no proper sanitization not available? Only for namesake at the entrance one sanitizer bottle is there that too it is not properly maintained as per the process.
Why there is no dedicated security sitting at the entrance? You treat your employee well right you can very well opt for good security.
7. Next as per the process there should be distanced maintained right. Why there is no space between each seat? Why the place is so crowded and why most of your staff lab person which very crucial not wearing the mask properly also your receptionist?
If you can talk so harshly rude you should also be perfect right.
