First of all for those who might are not aware of it is a remake of Bengali movie which was released in 2016.
First most thing all the actors right starting from main lead actors to supporting actors have done remarkable acting. All have done true justice to their roles. Whether it may be Naseer sir or Vidya Balan else the side actors.
The story revolves around at the time of preindependance and partition time between India and Pakistan this makes story very strong and effective but in my view this fantastic plot is not being directed effectively there are many places in movie where one loses interest and starts wondering what is happening and when it will finish.
Music is also not great obviously it cannot be like today knowing the plot of story is old but then also it is not like which can or will be remembered for long by people.
Cinematography is average keeping in view of story type and time it feels justice is being done.
In my view if you are really fond of acting then only one should go and watch this movie because it that case story and music will not matter much and you will not be disheartened when other factors like story and music is not good.
