This movie is period film genre, which is directed by one of powerful director Shrijeet MUkherji a honourable salute to him.
This movie is about to, just after independence of india between ( 1948-1950) , at that time Redcliffe line maintained between seperate to pakistan and india, this lines got crossed between begum jaan's ( vidya balan) house, higher authority insist to begum jaan to leave this place but she dint obey them, thn movies jumps to between goverment, begum jaan and her housemates. She got tourcher and abuse by government bt still fight for herself and her friends. ( wants to reveal climax but you should watch, its really worthy to watch)
Beautifully portrays journey of begum jaan, show to public each step of thier struggle, direction, cinematography, dialogues are outstanding.
Vidya balan ( lead character) again proove to be a no one actress of bollywood, commendable acting. Other character also act beautifully, but entire limelight goes to vidya balan.
Music is good, few songs really plays and important role in story and few is just for increasing length.
Lover of vidya balan, lover of true acting, lover of worthy movie, lover of actual and genuine cinema. Must watch. And yes I dont need to say girls they are enough mature they ll see wdout anyone recommendation. Movie dedicated to all girls.
Can see with parents as well as go with your sister, gf, wife and female frndz.
Begum jaab is about to women's strength and their struggle period, that every women does somewhere in her life.
