I had purchased a Beetel Combo phone in DEC -2003. This phone has two units one base unit in fixed form with extendable antennae and a cordless phone with antennae. There is a unique feature on this phone is that the cordless woks even if there is a power failure as it has stand by battery for almost 7 hours. Usually in all other dula units only te abse unit can function in power failures but here the cordless can also function. Power failures are a chronic amaldy throughout India except in cities like Mumbai where the distribution is effective.

Earlier had lot of chinese phones had to throw them out within a year as they were unreparable and only looks good but do not perform. The main disadvantage of beetel combo phone is the LCD does not ahve backlight and are unreadable in base unit. Some time the audio quality is quite undependable on the cordless,

Believe beetel could come out with a better version of this unit as there is no charge on dispaly in the cordless. The ringtones are outdated.

Believe me, the Canocare phones are far better in looks and performance than Beetel combo
