I normally don't buy Bata products now however use to be a loyal customtakeouter in my childhood days. I bought a pair of shoes in September 11 from their Cannaught Place (4D), New Delhi showroom @ Rs. 1299. I bought because I liked the design. After 3 months the shoes become very loose and their sole got broken. I reported this to Showroom guy and he said" Sir our warranty is only for 60 days and now we cant do anything. However if you write to customtakeouter care and they agree, we can replace the shoes."
The showroom owner agreed that this pair of shoes has manufacturing defect and should be replaced. I wrote to the company customtakeouter care and they responded in seven days. They said, our warranty is only for 60 days and we can't help you. WTF, shoes will now last for 60 days only. On an average one pair of shoes is worn 20-30 times in 60 days that too 7-8 hours per day. So from now on Bata shoes life will be 160-240 hours only. Wow Bata, you need ages to improve quality. I guess I should be happy with my original fav brand Woodland. Bata is a complete No No for me from now on.
