Barklays credit card worst than govt office. Review on Barclays Bank

I was offered a free credit card by telemarketing staff. they sent their officer to collect documents which included xerox copy of existing credit card. while collecting papers he all of a sudden took my credit card and started scratching on paper to create an embossed copy. I did not allow him. on discussion with their office I was told it was their rule.

Here I objected that you are taking xerox of my credit card, you are taking orginal copy of my existing credit card with an assurance to return the original copy back, xerox copy of my credit card all certified by me, why do you want embossed copy? I said ok I give that only against your offer letter or offer by sms. they said that they can send an e-mail. as per their tele officer they sent e-mail four times but it was never received by me. I refused to give my documents after reading four opinions on this site. again I give a tip to all not to put your credit card in hands of any one. no bank has ever asked original copy of statement and embossed copy of credit card. some thing is fishy. I shall still go deep in to this and any adverse shall share again on this site.
