Hello ! Amrita
I just read your review on Bangalore.
I been to this city a number of times in the last five or six years.
I am in Bangalore about four times a year.
In fact, I was in Bangalore in February 2002 for five days.
Well I too accept on lot of points you raised on this city.
However, I think this city is like any other Indian city,
with almost identical problems.
I normally travel to Bangalore from Chennai.
This time I flew back to Calcutta from Bangalore.
Since I was already delayed, I just rushed for check in.
Well, yes the city is full of youngsters, all vibrating !!!!!
They dress well, make sure they look good, move around in fancy cars, with music in full
volume , and hang around at all those cool hangouts !!!!!
Well you then understand the power of wealth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, town planning, infrastructure, public transportation, is poor, like most cities in our country.
The auto wallas, are another set of crazy people out here.
They demand absurd fares, and you cant do anything, but pay.
Offcourse, there is a pre paid counter, but that is only at the railway station.
At least I know of the only one out there.
I too accept that its a hyped up city, most of the good restaurants, & entertainment places are expensive,
may be very expensive.
But this city still has some amount of business.
People out here have a better purchasing power.
Well, this city also has some good restaurants too.
Here, let me tell you about Coffee Cafe Day on the M G Road.
I really liked this particular outlet.
This is an open air outlet on the footpath beside The Bombay Stores.
Last time I Bangalore, I was a regular here every day around 10 p.m to 12 a.m !!!!!
The open air ambience was lovely.
In the end, though a much hyped up city, with whole lot of problems, but yet this city has business.
This is what I like about this city, cheerful faces every where, youngsters full of hope & aspirations,
and good amount of money in the city.
Meanwhile, keep up your reviews, as usual honest & straight ones.
Thanks
A.B
