Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick, a chain of sweet shops in Kolkata is one of my favorite places for sweets and snacks. Let us understand why.
It is kept neat and clean and has hygenic practices all around. Whether you check the hygeine or taste and quaity of food, it is a topper. For example, let me talk about a few tasty sweets.
Cadmish Sandesh: Even five to seven years back, I never expected to come back to Kolkata and find such novelty sweets. A fusion of Cadbury Chocolate and Sandesh! How amazing can that be? Only someone like me can appreciate such sweets. And there are many such people who are fans of this or some other special sweet avaiable here. I am going to try and tell you about a few here to show why this sweet shp has captured our hearts.
SO, let us start.
Baked Rosogolla: Rashogolla/ Rasogolla or. Rasgulla as it is commonly known outside Bengal is too common. So these people offer a special one for us. This is a baked variety that tastes unique and I dont like the classic variety after tasting the baked variety. Similar in poularity to the Gurer Rasogolla found at other sweet shops.
AAM DOI: Yogurt with the flavor of mangoes that taste heavenly. Simply amazing. no word can explain the heavenly subtle aste that lingers on even after you finsh it all.
Jol Bhora Sandesh: Common at other shops too, especially during winter season when Gur or Jaggery is avaiable. The variety I tasted here is simply amazing. Sweet yet infinitely more tasty than normal sandesh made of sugar. An earthy flavor makes its taste unique and linger on for a long time in your mouth.
Chocolate Lava Sandesh, Kulfi Sandesh, Diabetes Sandesh, Gulab Jamun, Baked Mihidana Sandesh, Dhakai Paratha, Veg Cakes, Pastries, and even Pies.
I love to see some nearby shop offer something similar to this. This place is outside my nearby locality but we still frequesnt the place just because it is so good.
