After a long time a very well crafted historical movie has come in Hindi cinema, the credit equally goes to everyone from the director to the actors.
Ranveer Singh looks deep into the character of Bajirao and let's his eyes and body language speak in dramatic scenes, his dialogues sometimes seem forced and lack the intensity of that period romance, same goes for Deepika. Priyanka has given a suble performance and show the strength of her character through her gestures very aptly.
The lack of good dialogue writers in our cinema shows in this film, as some intensity was missing. Sometimes the dialogues were superficial. The diction was not upto the mark. But, now-a-days even public is not that much capable of handling heavy duty dialogue delivery like the historicals of Sohrab Modi, Prithviraj Kapoor and later on Dilip Kumar. Everone knows the reason behind the failure of overtly Persian ridden Dharmendra-Hema Malini starer'Razia Sultan'.
There should have been more fight sequences, however the movie is fast paced, it doesn't let you getting bored except a little drag near the end.
A worth watch.
