This is one of the most awaited films and dream project of sanjay leela bhansali. Though it did not reach upto the levels of expectations, the movie is worth the watch due to the following reasons. The cast has ranveer singh as bajirao peshwa, deepika padukone as mastani and priyanka chopra as kashibai.Ranveer singh tried his best to fit in the role and his efforts are seen, the fight scenes are shot to excellence and ranveer singhs capabilities are shot and shown well.
Ranveers remarkable acting in the end scene is notous and hard to take out of mind. Deepika is as graceful and magical as mastani as she is in all her films.Her acting is effortless and brings her character of mastani live and pulls us back in that era when women fought with all their dignity and pride for their country and love for their kingdom inspite being the princess.
Priyanka chopra plays role of bajiraos first wife, who innocently struggles for his husbands love knowing that he has fallen for mastani, yet never leaves her good side.Priyanka has well showcased her sufferings and unending respect for bajirao. Overall its worth a watch though the original(hi)story is little bit changed to match the taste of bollywood as there is addition of songs like pinga and bajirao dancing on tune of malhari. If the songs are neglected, the movie is classic and worth a watch.
