This is my second review on Pulsar 180 DTSi after riding about 300 Km.
Over all the vehicle really kicks your @ss.
Engine: The two spark plug and TRICS play excellent role in keeping the engine for good performance & efficiency. The only issue I am facing is, it is getting hotter to soon and it retains heat for quit sometime. It is an efficient engine designed for better performance and efficiency. It delivers great power at 16.02 Ps @ 8000 RPM.
Gear Box: The gear shifting was initially a problem for those who have not exposed to the gear pattern of Pulsar 180 DTSi. But after getting adjusted for few days, it must be a cakewalk.
Kick Start & ES: If we follow certain guidelines, we can easily avoid kicking the bike many times. The battery seem to dry out quickly.
Lights: It is so powerful that the opposing vehicles might find it very difficult.
Suspension: It is improved a lot and due to heavy body, the vehicle is actually holding most of the bumps.
Ride Comfort: Actually, it has reduced my back pain, as I used to ride KB 4S Champion, previously. Good for long ride and also good for city ride under manageable RPMs. When you ride your bike in 80 Kmpl, you feel like you are doing 30 Kmpl or 40 Kmpl. I can easily maneuver in city roads. The vehicle actually moves along with your body so well, it gives total control on the bike. It fits my physic so well.
Fuel Efficiency: I have got a chance to experience myself but I was told it could be anywhere between 45 thru 49 Kmpl, is great for a bike which is about 178CC.
Pick-up: Since my Vehicle under Running-in, I could not really test its pickup. But when I tried couple of times initially, it gave tremendous pick-up. I can whistle past others in no time.
Look: I have black one, which looks daring with its naked fuel tank. It has the stylish front masts which gives totally different look than its predecessors. It is not too flashy like Karishma (which was one of the reason why I did not go for that), which would be suitable only for College kids.
The Wheels could be little broader and could have come up with alloy wheels as well. The plastic components must be replaced with metal parts, which would give better look.
Problems with gear shifting must be addressed, though I am not personally experiencing it.
Front tire must be bigger than what it is now.
Otherwise, a wonderful bike for Indian roads.
